Terry Caywood – Headmaster
Mr. Caywood was born with ministry and educational administration in his blood-line. His parents both served as incredible examples because of their commitment to the Lord and the education of young people. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science from Stephen F Austin and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Additionally, he has attended University of Kentucky, College Business Management Institute and is currently working towards a Masters of Educational Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. Prior to his time at HCA, Terry worked for nineteen years at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Business Administration and was Vice President of Administration for four years at Truett-McConnell College in Georgia. He is also Licensed and Ordained for Gospel Ministry. Terry and his wonderful wife Sally have four children and two grandchildren.
Shelia Bothe – Principal
Sheila Bothe has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in English and a Kindergarten Endorsement from Texas Wesleyan University. She is certified to teach by the State of Texas. For 27 years she was employed in the field of Christian education as either a teacher, principal or curriculum coordinator. Prior to being principal at HCA, Sheila served as a member of the school board for 5 years. Sheila is blessed with three children and one very special grandson!
Dr. Randy James – Asst. Principal & Campus Minister
Dr. James earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Math prior to recognizing a call to ministry. He then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Divinity and later a Doctorate in Theology. Dr. James has served as a Teacher, Coach, Acting Headmaster, Admissions Director and Guidance Counselor. Today, Dr. James serves at HCA as Campus Minister, Head Secondary Teacher and Assistant Principal. Additionally, Dr. James has been Pastor at Cates Street Baptist Church in Bridgeport for the past eight years. He and his wife Suzy have two children.
Steve Farris – Athletic Director & Head Football Coach
Coach Farris has been working with students for twenty-two years, both in educational and ministry settings. He’s a graduate of University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After eighteen years as a student pastor in local churches, Coach Farris made the jump to full-time teaching and coaching in 2009. While serving in the ministry, he had the opportunity to serve on the football coaching staff at nationally ranked Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Arkansas. Coach Farris has been married to his wife Michelle for twenty-years and they have two daughters, Kayleigh and Allyson.
