K-6 MUSIC
Our students experience music through singing, playing instruments, musical games, listening activities, and moving to music. Music students will learn to discover steady beat, demonstrate rhythm, identify and compare pitches, and establish a musical vocabulary. These activities encourage your child in the artistic, cultural, scientific, and mathematical foundations of music. Children develop their appreciation of music through singing both alone and with others. Our priority is to discover the unique voice with which God has gifted your child. A variety of musical styles will fill the year with fun and faith. Creative movement to accompany songs will express understanding of rhythm, beat, and the mood of music.
WORSHIP ARTS
This class focuses on guiding each student to clearly identify their spiritual gifts and use those gifts to help lead student worship in weekly chapel. A student lead worship team of vocalists and musicians, as well as a multi media team, work together to help the campus minister produce chapel services. Students are encouraged to be creative to minister to the HCA student body.
